Meet Our Supported Board Members
Dedicated leaders bringing transparency and good governance to Redmond Ridge
Meet Our Board Members Under Recall
The recall campaign unfairly targets three of the hardest working board members Redmond Ridge has ever had. These are not politicians — they are volunteers, your neighbors, parents, and professionals who have given years of unpaid service to our community.
Manjari Kishore – President
Manjari has served the Redmond Ridge community for 17 years in multiple capacities. She has been the driving force behind the Redmond Ridge Diwali event since 2017, a mega cultural celebration attended by more than 900 residents and guests, where our children have performed year after year. She has also organized community volleyball tournaments, and volunteered with the Rosa Parks PTSA.
In her early career in India, Manjari was a journalist with The Hindustan Times (link), where she authored more than 2,000 stories covering women, children, and cultural issues. She also led investigative reporting on mismanagement, neglect, and corruption in local government and public health — often inviting the ire of officials she exposed, but always serving the public cause.
Community service runs in her family: her father was a principal correspondent for a major English daily, and her brother is a decorated three-star General in the Indian Police Service.
As Board President since January 2025, Manjari has:
- Led the charge for financial transparency and accountability.
- Directed reviews of past expenditures, identifying inefficiencies.
- Oversaw the reduction of the Education & Training budget from $16,000 in 2023 to $6,000 in 2024, and to just $2,000 in 2025.
- Helped create documented operating manuals to ensure continuity in community operations.
- Led with dignity and focus, refusing to respond to personal attacks and keeping the board centered on results.
Ashutosh Kumar – Vice President
Ashutosh is a father of two teenagers with more than 20 years of professional experience. In addition to serving Redmond Ridge, he also serves on the Compass Pointe Community Board, where he played a key role in improving finances and reducing special assessments.
For the past seven years, Ashutosh has also been a critical part of the Redmond Ridge Diwali organizing team, taking charge of finance and logistics to make this beloved event possible.
As Vice President since January 2025 (and a board member since 2024), Ashutosh has:
- Championed operational modernization, including IT upgrades projected to save $50,000 over five years.
- Introduced clear approval processes to replace the old system where one staff member submitted, reviewed, and signed checks without oversight.
- Strengthened financial reporting and homeowner accountability.
- Worked on rebuilding staff capacity, helping bring on a Compliance Manager, Office Administrator, and Communications Associate.
Basant Agrawal – Secretary
Basant Agrawal is a dedicated community leader and seasoned technology professional based in Redmond Ridge. Since 2011, he has played a pivotal role in organizing cultural events such as the Festival of Lights (Diwali) and the Festival of Colors (Holi), fostering unity and celebration among residents of both Redmond Ridge and Redmond Ridge East.
Basant actively supports nonprofit organizations including Gurukul, where he teaches children and serves the community, and Bhartiyam, where he contributes through theatrical performances. His commitment to cultural preservation is evident in his ongoing efforts to teach Hindi to children free of charge.
Professionally, Basant serves as a Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft, bringing extensive leadership and management experience to his role. In January 2025, he joined the board during a critical period of staffing shortages, stepping up when few others did.
As Secretary, Basant has:
- Maintained clear and consistent board communications during transitional periods.
- Advocated for fair, transparent governance and increased resident engagement.
- Supported key financial oversight reforms to protect homeowner funds.
- Demonstrated calm, principled leadership under pressure, including during the recent recall effort.
Basant continues to be a strong advocate for community cohesion, cultural enrichment, and responsible governance.
Why These Leaders Matter
Together, Manjari, Ashutosh, and Basant represent a new culture of governance at Redmond Ridge:
- Asking the hard questions that previous boards avoided.
- Rejecting wasteful spending and insisting on real oversight.
- Building processes and continuity to ensure stability for years to come.
- Serving with integrity and dignity, despite months of misinformation and personal attacks.
This recall threatens to undo all of that. Removing them would not just replace three volunteers — it would send a message that accountability and transparency are not welcome.
That is why we say: Vote NO on the recall.
